Which one of these pictures is actually a TV? Read on to find the answer.
This week’s Fab Friday Find is the latest television from Samsung aptly named The Frame. It features a bezel that looks like a picture frame and mounts so closely to the wall that it looks like a piece of art.
The Frame allows you to choose what art you would like to display from its extensive internal art library. For an extra charge you can gain access to the Samsung’s entire art collection, or choose to display your own photos.
Instead of turning off like a normal TV, leaving a blank black rectangle on the wall, The Frame is designed to always show its picture when someone is in the room. It uses a motion sensor that keeps the image onscreen as long as it senses movement. When there’s no motion after awhile, the screen goes blank, saving power. When the screen is on and showing art, an ambient light sensor matches its brightness level to the room.
Be still my designer heart, you can also choose frame options! The Frame TV comes with a standard black border but you can upgrade to white, oak, or walnut finishes to fit in with any decor.
Also included with The Frame…a pretty price tag. The 55″ sells for $2700 and the 65″ goes for $3800. But if it solves the age old debate about whether or not to have a TV in the room, it may be worth it. Have a great weekend everybody!
